WAPA’s Asphalt Parking Lot Design Guide has been updated for 2021 to change the 20-Year Design ESALs from 2 million to 1 million (found in Tables 3.1 and 3.2). This publication focuses on all phases of asphalt parking lot design, including planning, construction and maintenance. It also includes a comprehensive 61-point Inspection Checklist to help an on-site inspector identify key processes and follow best practices to produce a quality parking lot.

We are pleased to announce that the Wisconsin Asphalt Pavement Association will award at least two WAPA Student Scholarships in 2019.

One Engineering Scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $2,000, and one Engineering Technician Scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $1,000.

The awards recognize organizations for innovative projects and practices that are helping advance the quality and performance of asphalt pavements in Wisconsin.

Award categories are State (WisDOT Region or Office), Local (City, County, Town, or Village), and Business (Commercial Business or Association).
