The Wisconsin Asphalt Pavement Association (WAPA) announced today that the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) North Central and Northeast Regions were recipients of the 2019 State Award for advancing innovation in asphalt pavements.

We are pleased to announce that the Wisconsin Asphalt Pavement Association will award at least two WAPA Student Scholarships in 2019.
One Engineering Scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $2,000, and one Engineering Technician Scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $1,000.

WAPA is now accepting nominations for our 2019 Innovation Awards.
The awards recognize organizations for innovative projects and practices that are helping advance the quality and performance of asphalt pavements in Wisconsin.
Award categories are State (WisDOT Region or Office), Local (City, County, Town, or Village), and Business (Commercial Business or Association).
This Executive Update features the “Asphalt Performs” videos from NAPA, the balanced mix design workshop from NCAT coming to Wisconsin in December, and highlighted asphalt pavement research conducted nationally and here in Wisconsin.
