Madison, WI – Brandon Strand, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Asphalt Pavement Association, released the following statement regarding the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) 2015-17 Budget Request:

“Wisconsin’s transportation system is the foundation of our economy. As our infrastructure ages and the demands on our transportation network grow, smart economic and sustainable decisions need to be made to maintain our infrastructure system going forward.

“We applaud Secretary Gottlieb and WisDOT leadership for their bold vision to solve the state’s long-term transportation funding needs. This proposal deserves thoughtful consideration and we look forward to working with everyone involved to solve this transportation funding crisis together.”
