Research is key to advancing our understanding of the tools, materials and construction techniques that can help us build safer and more durable asphalt pavements here in our state and across the country.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is a leader in conducting cutting-edge research. The agency recently published two new research reports related to asphalt:
- WisDOT Research Program 2025 Annual Report, June 2026.
- Design Requirements for High Traffic Asphalt Mixes to Ensure Pavement Performance, January 2026.
