It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we share with you the news that Gerald Waelti has passed away. Jerry was WAPA’s longest-tenured Executive Director, serving from 1986-2003, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. There wasn’t a better advocate for our industry and we were all so fortunate to work with him over the years.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Delavan United Church of Christ (123 E. Washington Street). Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Friends of the Phoenix Park Bandshell or the Delavan United Church of Christ for the Jerry & Kay Waelti Scholarship Fund.
