UW–Platteville’s team won the 2011
design competition.

WAPA sponsors an asphalt design competition among student teams from regional universities. The purpose of the competition is to introduce students to the different aspects of HMA design, including mix design, pavement structure design and project management engineering.

Past winners. Congratulations to the Asphalt Design Competition team from UW–Platteville, which took home first place for 2011. Winning team members were James Des Jarlais, James Gallagher, William McElroy, Brandon Schwenn and Brady Seston. Winning teams from all years can be found on the Design Competition Winners.
