2009 ANNUAL WAPA CONFERENCE

Left to right: Incoming WAPA president John Montgomery, keynote speaker Rick Schlesinger from the Milwaukee Brewers front office, and outgoing WAPA president Steve Higgins.
WAPA hosted its 50th annual conference on December 1 and 2, 2009 in Middleton. As we celebrated half a century of bringing Wisconsin’s HMA community together, we were joined by retirees and former leaders of the HMA industry in Wisconsin.
During the conference's technical sessions, experts and practitioners gave presentations on asphalt pavement research trends, sustainability standards, foamed asphalt, rubblization and municipal asphalt specifications. A keynote address by Rick Schlesinger, Executive VP of Business Operations for the Milwaukee Brewers, was a memorable closing to the event.
